EFT - Tips for Effectiveness (Part 10)

As I am sure you are aware, the body is made up of mostly water. Water consumption is a vital part of maintaining a healthy body and avoiding a dehydrated body.

In reality and according to the experts, very few of us drink the amount water each day that is considered to be a healthy requirement. So the majority of people may be dehydrated.

Now whilst we are able to function normally, and without any noticeble adverse affects sometimes dyhydration can cause EFT to be less effective then it could be.

If you notice that EFT does not seem able to shift an issue and you have tried the other tips for increasing the effectiveness of EFT then try this one. Just have a glass of water. Water is a conductor of energy and can help to get your energy flowing again.

EFT - Tips for Effectiveness (Part 9)

Sometimes the place that you are using EFT in can affect the effectiveness of EFT.

For instance, some people have found that if they are close to some electrical household items such as TVs and cd players that it seems to lessen the power of EFT. The remedy is a simple one. You just move away from this household items and mayh be go to another room or venure. Even electrical items that are switched off can affect EFT.

Why does this happen you might ask. Well, if you remember that EFT is an energy process, then any other energy source may affect it some way.

EFT - Tips for Effectiveness (Part 8)

Some new users of EFT often will be unsure as to what to tap for. They want to use EFT to help them release an issue but have doubts about whether they are doing EFT correctly or not.

This is an easy thing to resolve. You should use EFT on an issue even if you are not sure what you are saying is the correct way of describing the issue or not. You see that EFT will not harm you even if you tap on a statement that does not really apply to you.

The proof of this is all the EFT therapists who constantly tap on themselves when demonstrating to a client how to phrase a statement about their issue.

So, there is nothing to hold you back now. Use EFT on the thoughts that come to mind when you you think about your issue.

EFT - Tips for Effectiveness (Part 7)

One of the main breakthrough resources necessary in using EFT with stubborn issues is your persistence. Almost any new variation on using EFT is worth trying as quite often you can be pleasantly surprised.

So far I have suggested, emphasising words, shouting and swearing amongst others. Well here is another idea to help you enjoy that much deserved breakthrough. Try singing the words. Yep, just try singing the words to a made up tune or to your favourite tune.

Now remember that with the 'long' version, the original version of EFT, you would hum happy birthday, then count from 1 to 5, then hum happy birthday again. So my suggestion to sing the set up and reminder phrases may not be as wacky as you might think.

If you find your issue is not shifting or reducing and you have tried all the other methods available without success, then just try singing the words. And 'no' you don't have to be a good singer for this tactic to pay dividends!

EFT - Tips for Effectiveness (Part 6)

EFT is a great self help tool. In other words you can use EFT to help yourself.

Sometimes though, when we find that some issue is not reducing, the help of another person can make that all important difference.

If you are unable to see an EFT therapist, ask a friend or relative to help out. Get them to use EFT together with you or to tap directly on you. The combined energy and positive intention of two people can often be enough to enable a release from a stubborn issue or problem.

EFT - Tips for Effectiveness (Part 5)

If you find that an issue seems to be stubbornly hanging around try this despite applying EFT persistently try this.

Take a measure of the intensity on a scale or 0 to 10 where 0 means that this issue has gone and 10 is the worst instensity.

Then instead of tapping on a description of the issue as you would do with the standard procedure in EFT, instead tap on the number from that scale.

For example:-

Even though
I have 9 I deeply and completely etc...
I still have a 9...
I can't get a lower number than 9
I have 9 and I would love to have an 8

Be curious about this different way of applying EFT and see what happens. You might be pleasantly surprised.

EFT - Tips for Effectiveness (Part 4)

Here's another subtly that may just make the difference to shifting an issue.

If you have tried chnaging the words, and tried shouting and swearing (if that is your normal language) then try this.

Get up, if you have been seated, and stand whilst using EFT. You might stay in the same room and continue using EFT. Better still walk around and tap for the issue you want to release.

If you can leave the room and wander through the building, particularly if you are at home, and tap on the issue.

You may just find that a change in physical position, not only from being seated to standing up, but moving from the room you were in to other rooms can make a big difference. Try it and find out.

EFT - Tips for Blasting Blocks (Part 3)

Some users of EFT feel that an issue they want to resolve or release is not being affected in any way. They feel this depite being persistent and tapping on the same wording a number of times.

Clearly, repeating what does not work will only lead to the same result... no shift in the issue. However sometimes a simple tweak of the way something is worded, can make a big difference.

Remember it is vital that you use your own language, and I don't mean english, spanish etc (at least in this particular example). What I mean is that you use the type of phraseology that is your natural way of speaking.

Some people swear more frequently than others. If you feel adding a swear word will help to emphasise the feeling behind the words then include swearing.

Being grammatically correct is not relevant as far as successful EFT use is concerned. The most important aspect when thinking about the phrases to use is to use your style of language and natural way of expressing yourself.

EFT - Tips for Increasing Effectiveness (Part 2)

Sometimes someone will be in the middle of their issue eg. panic attack, anxiety, blushing, social phobia and will not be able to use EFT at that time. These times tend to be when that person is with other people and to suddenly start to tap on yourself whilst repeating a phrase may not be appropriate.

However, like anything issue or challenge in this world there are always solutions.

All you need to do, in a moment of need, and when tapping physically is not appropriate, is to mental tap. Simply imagine tapping on yourself for the current issue. YOu will find that you will be able to complete several rounds of imagined tapping very quickly.

I always say to my clients that it is important to have done some physical tapping in the past so that the body/mind knows what this is about. Once you have experienced physical tapping (even if you have had a just one EFT session) then you will be able to experience positive results from mental tapping/

EFT - Tips for Effectiveness (part 1)

If you are using EFT and seem to be stuck, or have reached a blockage here is a way of getting past it.

Shout out the words. Yep, just holler the words. Give them real emphasis. You see sometimes with EFT we can start to say the words by rote, or on automated pilot, if you like. The words lose their meaning and therefore they may not connect to the issue. To reconnect to the issue, scream the words out (warn the neighbours first) and see what happens. It may be all that was needed was a little more ummph!
